Responsibilities included managing and implementing various Information Technology
projects / programs, providing direction and leadership for process and procedure
improvements.

- Developed and provided mentoring in Project Management methodology to the team.
Relevant examples developed that allowed teams to improve their understanding of
concepts and practices. Templates created to ease the transition and improve the
understanding of a project management frame of mind.
- Developed and implemented a capacity management process that provided a more accurate
view of resource load to management. This allowed management to make adjustments
enabling efficient utilization of personnel.
- Directed the NetIQ monitoring system upgrade that included applications, security
and VOIP system monitoring. Disaster Recovery issue resolved by negotiating a new
licensing agreement at no cost. Ensured communications across 120 business application
customers were consistent and documented. Extensive planning and dependency identification
allowed a smooth transition to new versions with minimal impact to daily production.
- Upgraded and migrated the Control-M job scheduling system as part of the new corporate
Data Center build out with zero impact. Direct implementation negotiated into the
new data center to avoid a second migration. Coordination across all business applications
customers resulted in no production impact.
- Led the ALC Facilities Monitoring System implementation into the new Data Center
that allowed maintenance engineers to monitor the building remotely. Coordinated
with the security team the integration of the vendors software into CNA’s LDAP system
for user authentication. Due to the vendor lacking a formal software contract, worked
with the legal team in the development and approval of an initial version.
- Management requested to rescue the Enterprise wide Voice Mail Replacement and Call
Manager Upgrade project that was severely behind schedule. Once key issues were
resolved, the team achieved their goal of annual savings in excess of $800k per
year. Regular structured, targeted communications achieved smooth coordination with
the business.

IT Senior Program / Project Manager
Responsibilities included the development and management of projects and programs
for client accounts. Performed customer liaison role to develop customer relationships
and ensure strategies and objectives were in alignment.

- Trained and mentored team members in project management practices and procedures.
Developed or improved procedures that resulted in positive impact on projects in
time and budget going forward.
- Co-led the Transformation Program Team as part of the $1.6 billion Motorola outsourcing
account to transfer the Motorola computing infrastructure into 4 global CSC Data
Centers. Comprehensive planning and global communications led to successful consolidation
of systems and achieved annual savings in excess of $100 million.
- Management requested to lead the rescue of the Motorola Data Center Closure project
that was severely behind schedule. Using innovative ideas and approaches prevented
penalties in excess of $1 million for the customer.
- Led the consolidation and upgrade of the Motorola Online global product ordering
system from 3 sites worldwide into 1 in the US. Extensive customer interaction to
develop specific requirements resulted in an architecture that increased performance,
stability and reliability while reducing overall maintenance costs by 50%.

in 25% fewer sites required.
- Planned and managed the migration to Atria ClearCase software management tool. Successfully
negotiated and managed the relationship that allowed new software development standards
to be used.
